How have the national labour law systems responded to the financial crisis? What issues have been raised by the application of the EU’s directives on restructuring? What else can the EU do? Those questions have been discussed during the 3rdAnnual Legal Seminar of the European Labour Law Network “Protection, Involvement and Adaptation - European Labour Law in Time of Crisis, Restructuring and Transition“ on 11 and 12 November 2010 in Den Haag / Netherlands.
The Annual Legal Seminar confirmed the findings stated in the Thematic Report that European countries have only taken several relatively small measures during the crisis the main aim being to make the labour market function more smoothly during the crisis.
